Abstract Submission Deadline is Extended to October 31st, 2023 for Poster Presentation

The 4th Asian Society of Sleep Medicine 2023 (ASSM2023) welcomes the submission of abstracts. All abstracts accepted will be presented as poster presentations at the Congress and will be published on the scientific program proceedings which will be distributed during the Congress and on the Congress website.

Acceptance Notification :
You will be notified of allocated sessions and requirements and instructions for oral and poster presentations. If your abstract is accepted, please be sure to register no later than October 15th, 2023. Otherwise, your abstract may not be included in the congress publishment.

Guideline for Young Investigator Award

❊ Applicants meet at least ONE of the following conditions is eligible to apply for Young Investigator Award.

  1. Undergraduate student or postgraduate student
  2. Within 5 years after graduation from the highest degree
  3. Under or at the age of 35 years old

❊ Applicants should submit abstract no later than AUGUST 31st, 2023.
❊ Recommendation letter containing the referrer’s contact information and signature is required to submit at or after abstract submission. Applicants should upload the recommendation letter at “Personal Centre”-“Abstract submission” on the congress website no later than AUGUST 31st, 2023.

  14. Sleep Disorders: Breathing, Parasomnia,
    Narcolepsy/Hypersomnia, Insomnia, Circadian Rhythms, Movement Disorders
  15. Neurological Disorders and Sleep
  16. Medical Disorders and Sleep
  17. Psychiatric and Behavioral Disorders and Sleep
  18. Others

Rules of Abstract submission

❊ Authors are required to indicate their preference for either poster presentation by checking the appropriate box on the submission web page. The Scientific Committee, however, reserves the right to make the final decision on the type of presentation.
❊ Acceptance or rejection of abstracts will be based on ranking given by a peer review of experts in the associated subspecialties. Decisions will be notified via email. The decision is final and no appeal is allowed.
❊ Abstracts should contain original work that has not been presented at major international meeting prior to the ASSM 2023.
❊ Instructions on the preparation of posters will be included with the notification of acceptance.
❊ Submission of an abstract indicates acceptance of and compliance with the abstract submission rules, the scientific validity of the presentation and that all authors have read and approved the abstract and its contents.
❊ All accepted abstracts will be published either in the virtual platform or in an abstract USB and distributed to all delegates.
❊ Accepted abstracts are official communications to the congress. The presenting author agrees to register, attends the congress and present the abstracts as scheduled. The presenting author must register at the time of acceptance of his or her abstract. Abstracts accepted with no registered participants by SEPTEMBER 15th , 2023 will not be published.
❊ The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject abstracts that do not observe the above-mentioned rules.


Instructions for Abstract Preparations

❊ Abstracts must be written and presented in English.
Title: Use a concise title that indicates the content of the abstract. The title should be capitalized and should not exceed 30 words. No abbreviation is allowed in the title.
❊ Authors: Names and surnames for each author must be provided. Do not include degrees or titles. Presenting author’s name will be underlined and corresponding author’s name will be in bold.
Affiliation: Each author should be listed by department, institution and country.
Text: Abstracts should not exceed 300 words. Abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted and the content will not be edited.
❊ The content of abstract should include the objective of the study, methods, a summary of the result and conclusion. Only standard abbreviations may be used without definition. Drug products should be identified by their generic name only. Data must be given in units (international metric system is preferred) widely used in literature.
❊ Please also refer to the template of Abstract.
❊ Only a limited number of abstracts will be selected by the Scientific Program Committee for oral presentation. Others will be accepted as posters
❊ Abstract Topics– abstracts must be allocated to a specific category for the Scientific Program. You will need to select the category most suited to your abstract. Tables – A maximum of 3 tables of up to 10 rows x 10 columns can be included per abstract.
❊ Graphs and Images – A maximum of 2 images can be included per abstract. The maximum file size of each graph/image is 500 KB. The maximum pixel size of the graph/image is 600(w) x 800(h) pixel. Graphs and images may be uploaded in JPG, PNG and GIF format only. When including a table it is recommended to save the table as an image and then upload it in to the abstract.
After you submit your abstract, you can re-enter the submission link at any time to view and edit your abstract until the deadline date. Submitted abstracts cannot be modified or corrected after the submission deadline. There is no option to save the abstract as draft and to submit it at a later stage. If you do not submit your abstract, the information will be deleted.

❊ Disclosure of financial relationships that the author(s) may have with the manufacturer/supplier of any commercial products or services related to the work, should be indicated in the appropriate box on the abstract form.


Others

❊ Statement of responsibility

  1. The co authors with the stated results and have consented to inclusion as authors.
  2. This abstract has not been submitted to any other international meeting.
  3. Work involving humans or animals or material derived from them, was approved by an institutional ethics committee.

❊ Authors who wish to withdraw their abstract should send a written request to the ASSM 2023 secretariat at

❊ Online submission is available on the congress website until October 31st, 2023. Please follow the instructions detailed on the website. Your abstract submission will be acknowledged automatically by email.
❊ Presentation guidelines will also be sent after your abstract submission is completed.
